Transaction categorization

To illustrate these two user stories, let's consider Bhuvana, the user who recently purchased educational material and paid with Venmo. Venmo detects the purchase and categorizes it as โ€œRetailโ€. But Bhuvana can edit the categorization so it reflects the accurate category.

Spending Insights

As a user, I want to see how my recent transactions (summary of monthly or weekly transactions) compare to my usual spending in that category, so I can be more aware of my financial habits.

As a user, I want to easily identify my top merchants and spending categories, so I know where most of my money is going.

To illustrate these user stories, lets consider the Venmo SpendSense (a hypothetical name I came up with). SpendSense lets the user see the overall spending categorization over a chosen period.
